JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Sales Territory Manager
BASE OF OPERATIONS: Wood, Inc, Baltimore, MD
|

JOB SUMMARY
|
Work with customers in the Maryland, Washington, D.C., Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and New Jersey geographic operating areas to provide products and services that effectively help to market their products lines.
|
|
PERFORMANCE DIMENSIONS AND TASKS(Time Spent%)
|
1. Customer Relations (60%)
Prospects for new customers. Matches products to perspective customers and facilitates new relationships by understanding various product lines and sharing basic product knowledge. Services existing customers. Develops relationships by creating solutions to customer problems. Networking with customers. Parlays developed relationships into new sales leads through current client recommendations.
2. Customer Negotiations (20%)
Negotiates customer pricing. Uses current market value of goods and services in assigned territory to determine appropriate pricing strategy. Works with customer to agree on pricing strategy.
3. Training (15%)
Provides training to customer’s sales force. Utilizes knowledge of Microsoft Office software to develop and prepare training materials using person product knowledge and information provided by clients. Delivers training to sales force in a classroom setting.
4. Team Building (5%)
Shares knowledge with office personnel and sales staff. Utilizes knowledge of the intricacies of assigned sales territory to make suggestions in group meetings. Relates assigned territory services issues to others.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
|
1. Education:
BS in Business Administration or Marketing
2. Experience:
No experience required - 1 to 2 years sales experience preferred

JOB CONTEXT
|
| Indoors and assigned sales territory (at clients facility), business attire, weekly to biweekly travel throughout assigned territory, no office environmental or job hazards, road and travel hazards.
